Founded in 1984, our purpose is To promote the education in, and the preservation of, the ancient art of clowning for the mutual benefit of our members. Our members come mainly from 8 mid-Atlantic States: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.
Our annual convention, held in November, attracts nationally known dealers and lecturers and draws clowns from all over the region.
As a member of MACA, you will receive (via email) quarterly issues of The Big Top. Each issue contains an assortment of clown related articles, events listings, advertisements, and more. Alleys
A clown alley refers to a group of clowns working together, often in a circus or performance troupe. The term “Clown Alley” can mean any group of clowns, whether they are affiliated them with a circus or carnival or merely seeking to learn and grow skills together.
